Recipe: The Fluffiest Of Pancakes

Hooray! It's Pancake Day! And you know what that means?! Well, obviously it is compulsory to eat a huge stack of these tasty treats and stuff our faces. It would be the only decent thing to do. ðŸ¥ž ðŸ¥ž ðŸ¥ž

When it comes to pancake disasters, I've had countless. Things normally come out the pan which resemble something more like scrambled eggs than actual fat, fluffy American style pancakes.

Morzine Is Always A Good Idea

Imagine the excitement; sat onboard one of easyJet's finest*, my usual 'rushed through security and almost missed flight' airport stress-face nowhere to be seen, eagerly awaiting the roar of the jet engines to lift us off somewhere far from this bleak Aberdeen morning.

The reason? A dreamy return to the snowy chocolate box, picture postcard perfect French Alpine village of Morzine in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France. Originally a mining town, the resort has gained traction as a world-class resort both in the summer and winter seasons.

The Lost Valley

Having taken one of our favourite drives down through Fort William towards Glencoe, Stuart and I wanted to make the most of our time surrounded by some of Scotland's most spectacular mountains. While we didn't have a whole day to spare, we had a good few hours, so we decided to don our climbing boots and find the Lost Valley of Glencoe. It sounds a bit like something from the Goonies. While it's not quite as exciting as finding hidden treasure, the scenery is well worth it.

Seafood & Sunsets In Applecross

Once Stuart had driven up Bealach na Bà and I had let go of the campervan door I'd been holding in mild fear (I'm a totally bad passenger), I was sincerely hoping it was going to be worth it at the other side. Well...lets just say I was absolutely not disappointed. Hello Applecross!

Go North Campers!

When it came to selecting the best company for campervan hire this time round, it was a tricky choice. While there are some amazing companies local to Aberdeen who supply the vintage VW experience, there wasn’t too much on offer when it came to a modern camper in the region....so a little research was needed.

The Road To Applecross

So my bags are just unpacked from what was an absolute belter of a trip to the West Coast of Scotland the past four days. A whistle stop campervan tour took me to so many amazing places, but one of the most spectacular has to have been Applecross, with the wildest entrance by road known to man.

My First Munro :: Mayar from Glen Doll

I pulled on my big girl pants and recently climbed my first munro and I have to say, it's made me realise just how unfit I probably am! Never mind, I knew that anyway and it is the precise reason why I'm on a trail to conquer the hills in the first place.
