Top Valentines Picks

I have to say, I am one of those that think Valentines Day is a little overrated and certainly not as romantic as it should be these days. While there are some gals (and guys) out there that would love, more than anything, to receive a dozen overpriced red roses, I would definitely prefer to be gifted something a little quirky. That's who I am and that is where this post is going.

Having had a super quick browse, I just thought I'd share a few of my top picks from notonthehighstreet.com, which are not really just for Valentines Day - the day where you're told to prove you love somebody, but would be a lovely gesture any other day of the year too. There are other great websites out there - this is just my personal fav!

// Wild About You Plant Set //

Plants are lovely chaps to have around the house, breathing a little bit of life into rooms - especially, if like me, you live in a flat. Here's a beautiful little personalised 'wild about you' plant set, which caught my eye. I'd probably spray the plant pot rose gold (obsessed) but think it's a really nice idea. It comes with solid pewter plant maker, mini terracotta plant pot, paper seed confetti, coir compost disc and instructions. The plant marker has some pretty little raised leaves on it and it is also stamped with the cheesy phrase 'wild about you'. This is sold by of kutuu lifestyle and you can buy here for £15

// Let's avo cuddle biscuits //

How cute are these novelty biscuits by Honeywell Bakes? Ideal if, like me, you are fond of a biscuit or two, or your other half likes a sweet treat. You could always make your own, but if you aren't a much of a Mary Berry in the kitchen, you could always try and pass these ones off as your own. I won't tell. These also come in a little gift box and are £12.50 for three. Look at them! ðŸ¥‘

// 52 Date Night Cards //

Sometimes, especially during the winter when the nights are long and the weather is awful, it's difficult to think about what to do on a date night - particularly if you've been to all the new restaurants and there's really nothing worth watching at the cinema. Some of the options in here are totally quirky and fun, for example: go for a drive and take only left turns until you find somewhere interesting. Other more romantic options suggest star gazing or simply breakfast in bed. These are sold by thispaperbook for £24

// Balloon In A Box //

Absolutely going for it and using this Valentines Day to propose? Do it like this with a Bubblegum Balloon. Just make sure you're inside. ðŸ’•
